We may have taken off the uniform, but that doesn’t mean we stop serving. We empower veterans to continue their service, and empower communities with veteran talent, skills, and preparedness to generate visible impact. Join us in serving again—in your community.

Being a IGY622 volunteer is your opportunity to engage and connect with veterans and community members while generating community impact in a real and tangible way. Led by veteran volunteer leaders, each group of volunteers work with dedicated community partners and other volunteers to provide the manpower and support that they need to help them do their work more effectively. 

Our volunteers are known for their power-packed service projects. We hold projects that are aligned with the needs of our community partners. On any given project day, we could complete activities such as building planters for a community garden, painting a mural on the side of a school, or laying down new sod for a park, to showing up for a Veteran in need.

But that’s not all, we also gather for social events and support other local organization events, and many of our events are kid friendly. Everyone is invited to serve, regardless of veteran status: our volunteer programs are for you if you have a passion for service.
